Mom is to take it easy for the next few weeks. She's not quite sure how she will handle letting someone else do her housework, laundry, grocery shopping and cooking. Grandson Andy told her today to keep an open mind...she might find out she likes doing nothing! We'll have to monitor this closely!
She will start chemo the end of June or the first part of July, and will have chemo every three weeks for 18 weeks.
She is also scheduled for a 6-week post-op visit the middle of July.
Things have gone extremely well so far and we give God the praise and credit for Mom's healing. We know there are more hurdles ahead, and we humbly ask for your continued prayers.

Hi Carol
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are now home! There is nothing better than being home and sleeping in your own bed....Now, Carol, I am sure that with having raised eight children, you are not used to sitting and doing nothing.....But, if there are those to help you then let them. Your body needs the rest as you fsce these treatments soon....so let the catering begin!!! haha!
You are already doing so good and that's great! I want to continue to follow along with you as updates are entered. Thank you, Kim!! I believe it is you penning these entries.....
Welcome home, Carol! That is a great first step. God is with you and will continue to be.....
